The Alexander Technique:

How you use your body affects how it functions, and prolonged inefficient use leads to daily chronic aches and pains - the kind most people think is “just part of life”. Through hands-on work, you can learn to recognize and change deeply ingrained muscular habits, and find more freedom of movement and confidence in your everyday life.

The Alexander Technique is a unique method for reducing chronic pain, muscle fatigue, or even stage fright.

Performers have used AT in the face of fatigue and burnout, and often find their craft improving as a result of regular lessons.

People living with conditions that cause chronic pain like multiple sclerosis, degenerative disc disease, and Parkinson’s disease often find immense increase to their quality of life, and increased confidence in their daily lives.

Young Children are developing their fine motor skills and, more importantly, the psycho-physical habits that will accompany them for the rest of their lives. Getting lessons at as early as age 8-9 can make a significant difference in their development, and build positive habits that will serve them for their whole life.

I’ve been certified by the AmSAT board since 2021, when at age 22, I became one of the youngest Alexander Technique teachers certified since the foundation of the practice.

AmSAT Certified teachers of the Alexander Technique have spent at least 3 years, totaling 1600 hours on an in-depth training course.

I trained at the Riverside Initiative for the Alexander Technique under program director Nanette Walsh, and other prominent teachers Ariel Carson, Lori Schiff, Bill Connington, and Caren Bayer. I have since taught on the same course as a faculty member.
